A free event will take place on Wednesday, 15 May from 10am-4pm at Hull Minster to help people plan for the end of life and stop death being a taboo subject.
The Celebration of Life event will enable people to discover how they can support individuals at the end of life – as well as their families – and ensure they understand the choices available to them.
The event, organised by City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) with support from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and other local organisations and funded by Macmillan Cancer Support, will help health professionals and members of the public find out more about planning for end of life and providing support for the inevitable.
A selection of activities, workshops and support will be available on the day, as well as access to information and advice stalls, appearances by guest speakers and a chance to visit the Death Café for conversations about death and arrangements for end of life.
