Local author Eileen Ward will be at The Driffield Centre on Monday, 3 June, from 7pm to 8pm.
Eileen will be talking about her books ‘Yon Lad Out There’ and ‘It’s Not What You Know’. They are historical books which start in 1919 and follow the gritty story of a young boy, Stanley, in a mining town in South Yorkshire.
During the event, Eileen will talk about the books, her journey into writing, and will take questions from the audience.
The event is free, with free refreshments, but places must be booked in advance at the Driffield Centre, or by calling 01482 393939.
