Sewerby Squirrels – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families - is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time, and there are more sessions in June.

All the sessions feature themed activities for Under 5s, based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits which are on display at Sewerby Hall. Each session includes books to read, a sensory area and quiet corner.

The session on Monday, 3 June will be on Beach Explorers, a chance to enjoy sand play, beach themed toys, and dressing up.

On Monday, 10 June, the theme will be Edwardian cleaning. The Squirrels will use a dolly tub, beat a carpet, polish brass, and play with bubbles (dependent on the weather).

Monday, 17 June will feature a Garden-themed craft, when the Squirrels will make a handprint flower to take home.

On Monday, 24 June, the theme will be History Explorers. There will be a chance to dig up the past, play with Edwardian toys, and make a cave painting.

The sessions are included in normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens whilst they apply.
