Orangery Concerts at Sewerby Hall and Gardens in June

Jump into June with an exciting selection of concerts at the popular Orangery at Sewerby Hall and Gardens.

The month will feature a varied range of music, with:

Professional pianist Mark Howley, who will perform classical jazz, blues and popular on Thursday, 6 June at 2pm.

On Sunday, 9 June at 2pm, The Hallgate Camerata will entertain with their chamber choir repertoire, which ranges from Tudor polyphony, madrigals, Victorian parlour songs, parlour songs and ballads.

East Yorkshire native Robert Markham, on Thursday, 13 June at 2pm, will perform well-loved works from the classical and romantic piano repertoire.

Sunday, 16 June will welcome The Doncaster Wheatsheaf Singers – an all-female choir who are renowned across the north of England for their quality. At 2pm, they will perform songs from the shows, pop ballads and classics and contemporary choral pieces – all sung from memory.

On Thursday, 20 June at 2pm, the Thorne and District Male Voice Choir will entertain with light hearted songs, old and new, traditional and modern – singing for pleasure.

Sax Forte, a York-based saxophone quartet, will provide their excellent repertoire of classical, jazz standards and swing on Sunday, 27 June at 2pm.
