A chance to get creative at the Hard Wired exhibition at North Bridlington Library

East Riding Libraries have announced two free events to accompany the new free touring exhibition, ‘Hard Wired’, which is at North Bridlington Library until 13 July, 2019.

In this new exhibition for Art Unpacked, Chrysalis Artsand Outside Incollaborate to bring together artists responding to the theme of technology. The artists consider its use as a component of artworks, how it influences our perceptions of the world and how it can help articulate our experiences of sometimes life - changing events

The artists featured are : Jack Rothwell, Anthony Stevens, Phil Baird, Lynn Cox, Lucy Barker, Jenny McCarthy, Ian Sherman, Gareth Bunting, Emma Louvelle, and Drew Fox.

The first event is on Saturday, 29 June at North Bridlington Library, from 10am – 11.30am. It will be a chance to create pictures inspired by the Hard Wired exhibition. The library will provide the raw materials - participants just need to bring their imagination!

The second event will be on Saturday, 6 July, also at the library, from 10am – 12 noon, and will be an opportunity to build space inspired creations from a load of old junk. Participants can use the Hard Wired exhibition as their inspiration and then let their imagination run wild. The library will provide some junk but participants should feel free to bring their own to add to their creation.

The library, in Martongate, is open on Tuesdays from 9.30am-5pm; Thursdays from 9.30am-7pm; Fridays from 9.30am-2pm; and on Saturdays from 9.30am-1pm.
