As part of Active Coast 2019, a new-look Cover the Coast programme offers exciting monthly outdoor coastal activities for adults, including a range of walks.
The Cover the Coast sessions take place in some of the spectacular locations on the East Riding coastline.
The next session will be on Friday, 5 July and is the first part of a two-part led walk, covering the Headlands Way from Bridlington to Filey. The walks will add up to 20 miles in total along the chalk cliffs of the Heritage Coast. Part One on 5 July will be from Bridlington to Bempton, starting at 10am, and the second part, on Friday, 2 August, will be from Bempton to Filey, also starting at 10am.
Sport and active communities officer Paul Silvester said : “These walks will be a chance to enjoy spectacular views around Flamborough Head , the RSPB reserve at Bempton, and Filey Bay and Brigg, whilst keeping fit at the same time!”
Participants will park at the finish points and a bus will transport the walkers to the start points, so when they finish the walk they will be at their car.
The walks cost £7.50 for one walk, or £10 for both, including transport. Booking is essential, as places are limited.
